Blackpink Rose APT MV analysis and how to play APT game

This is Dimad Chaen who wants to be a digital nomad with contents made of my various experiences :)
Today, I'm gonna introduce about "Analysis of Rose's new song APT MV and how to play Korean drinking game APT"

Blackpink is one of my fav girlgroup eventhough I don't like idols a lot,
when I used to listen to the music, I especially listen to blackpink's B-side track.
I don't listen to blackpink's music for a while but when I saw the MV of APT by coincidence,
I also feel curious about how to play the APT game and make up my mind to write the content about it.

And even my Portuguese friend sent me the gif about a part of MV and ask me how to play the game,
so I'm here !

First of all, famous pop singer Bruno mars and Rose make this song together.
The name of song APT is abbreviation of 'apartment' and in music, it appears as APT, which is honest pronunciation in Korean.
It has addictive chorus and motivated by Korean drinking game 아파트 and it is played a lot when university students are in freshman.
Someday at night, while working in studio, Rose and her staffs played APT game together and looking at them enjoying the game, Rose started to compose the music. And with Bruno mars, this song finally came out.

As a rock genre music, there are lots of componets about it!
Bruno and Rose are wearing black leather jacket with many silver stud decorations and check patterned shirts so they show punky mood, also playing drum and electronic guitar which are mandatory instruments as a band.
And I thought they shoot right scene with a camera inserted with paper tube on the lens lol.

This MV can be told "high-quality and kitsch".
You know, it is hard to make well-made kitsch work than class A work?
Even retro mood with old image quality film camera!

And especially, another feature of this MV is intense visual effect using vivid colors-
Usually black and hot pink make harmony and this make me remind Blackpink!

I captured all the scenes that make me eye-catching in the MV.
The typography, the color of studio wall and the clothes of Bruno mars and Rose!

There is a Korean cutural element that Bruno says "Gunbae, Gunbae" holding Korean national flag.
In Korea when drink, we usually say "Gunbae".
It is same as "Cheers" in America, "Saluds" in Spain and "Ganbbai" in Japan.
I also thought this is low-budget MV because they only use one studio.

The most favorite parts in this song to me are
"Don't you want me like I want you, baby ~ All you gotta do is just meet me at the" part of Bruno mars and 
"hold on, hold on, I'm on my way" 그리고 "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I'm on my way" of Rose.
I like the chorus saying "APT APT APT APT APT APT" but I more prefer these two parts.

And there are the scenes that make me fall in this MV.
The action that Bruno mars and Rose shaking their heads with sense of rythm, big body action and dancing are so cute!
The scene of Bruno shoot arrow to Rose and she fell down was..the best-
I feel like I'm watching a well-made fairy tale heheh

I also like this scene Bruno mars keep poker face even Rose takes his sunglasses.
She's sooooo lovely!


[ How to APT game ]

When you start the game, you have to say
"채영이(the name of person who plays the game)가 좋아하는 랜덤게임 ~ 게임 스타트 !"
It means "채영's favorite random game ~ game start!"

When I was a freshman, I also played various drinking game like Sonbyeongho game, baskin robbins game, bunny bunny game etc.
Me and my friends play drinking game really hard because we don't want to drink a shot lol.

The way of playing APT game is really easy.

1.
First of all, all the people say "아파트 아파트 아파트 아파트 (apart apart apart apart)"

2.
Everyone has to pile up their both two hands randomly like Bruno and Rose done in the picture regardless of palms order.

3.
The person who starts the game say the floor of apartment.
For example, "4층!"

4.
Count the floor from the downside and 4 floor person have to drink a shot like Bruno !
